Wheat bran is the hard protective outer layer of the wheat kernel, also known as millers grain. Bran is a by product of the milling process used to make flour and refined sugars. It is high in fibre, nitrogen and many other nutrients and is commonly used as a supplement when making sawdust blocks for mushroom production.

Hand-Packed with ❤ in Bristol, UK.

We offer pelletised wheat bran which has a longer shelf life and is easier to handle and store than flaked bran.

Wheat bran is a balanced and good all-round nutritional supplement for sawdust blocks, containing high amounts of fibre and nitrogen – perfect for dry-bagging methods. We use a lot of wheat bran in our own operation and have found that wheat-bran offers increased yields and more healthy fruits over oat bran.

Can be used in a supplement range of 5-25% the dry weight of the substrate. Steralisation essential for higher supplementation ratios.
